I have now gathered together the information I posted in this Thread and the others Threads that I started in 2009 about the history of the Phantom Kite. It can be found in the Facebook Group entitled 'Phantom Kites' ( https://www.facebook.com/groups/586380618066242/ ). That Group can now be a place for reference and for people to post photographs of their own Phantoms and anything related to the Phantom kite including any 'Wants' or 'For Sales', flying experiences etc..

Well that's all well and good but what about those who don't do Facebook?

You get to live your life a bit fully than the rest of us, Craig.

I suppose any appropriate response would be similar to responding to someone who had no PC, 'phone' or indeed didn't use the Internet at all these days.

No, the appropriate response would be to make the group open so that anyone can view it, even I know that that's possible.

It would be good if you could make the group open, Bill. Not everyone wants to be on FB and give their souls to Zuckerberg.

But one would still need to browse to FB and 'use' the facility to 'post' even with an 'Open Group' or am I missing something.

The album containing all my images is 'Public' on my own FB Profile and most of the text in my 'Pinned' post in the Group is within the pages of this Forum.

Yes, you'd need to be a member to post, but at the moment if you're not a member you can't even view.

I know. But if one doesn't want to join FB then why go to view things on the FB site at all?

Also I repeat: "The album containing all my images is 'Public' on my own FB Profile and most of the text in my 'Pinned' post in the Group is within the pages of this Forum." for people who prefer to stay here and look for the threads that were 'un-pinned' for some reason not long after I wrote the information here.

That's a very strange attitude, I very well may want to read things on The Guardian/Mailonline/BBC but none of them make me signup before reading them.

We don't stop anyone from viewing posts here you only need to sign up to post, the kiting community is small enough as it is why put more obstacles in the way!

Resistance is futile; you will be assimilated.
