Shanti speed line

Sat Apr 10, 2021 1:30 pm

Hi all

Haven’t been on this site for a while and glad to see it’s still going.

I am looking to buy some new lines in anticipation of warmer times ahead. I have been using shanti speed which I previously bought on the FA shop, does anyone know of any UK stockists, looking for it on a roll so I can make my own lengths up.

If no shanti, what are people generally using these days.

Thanks Spencer
Sp.

You can get Laser Pro Gold via Bilboquet - but only in bulk lengths (270m or 914m).

And I don't know if they deliver to the UK, but you can get Shanti Speed or Skybond (or LPG) from A Wind of Change in bulk lengths or pre-made line sets.
Must fly

Tim at Hengist Kites bought the FA shop stock.  It may be that they still have some Speed left.  I suspect they are the only UK based source, if they still have some left.

Just checked the Hengist kites web site and they ceased trading as of 31st December 2020.  Apologies for the bum steer. Another UK kite shop gone. :(

Prefer Speed myself, but Protec is pretty good.  Manny Kluge is the UK distributor for Climax so may be easiest to go direct.
http://www.kites4U.co.uk/ seems to route through to his FB page or you could try http://www.emkay-int.co.uk/climax/index.htm although the site looks like it needs a refurb  so may not be up to date.
