Thank you to Forum Moderators for allowing me to join the Fractured Axel Forum. As a point of reference, I have been flying kites for over 55 years, with a focus on dual line stunt kites in the 1990s and single-line glider kites for the past 10 years. Some of you many have a dual line stunt kite with a leach line. This lightweight sail flutter removal technique was introduced to our kiting community in my Falcon and Falcon LT dual line stunt kites, at the Wildwood International Kite Festival in Wildwood New Jersey, USA held during the Memorial Day weekend in 1991. At that time, flying in light winds was a challenge using the available construction materials. The leach line improved low wind performance and increased the wind window.
In the recent past, I shared my single line glider development activities on the GWTW Forum, which unfortunately is no longer active. If there is an interest in glider kites on the Fractured Axel Forum, please let me know. I would consider sharing my current and future efforts in that area of kiting, if acceptable to the Forum Moderators. Prior to Steve closing of the GWTW Form, I made a copy of my GWTW Forum glider kite discussion thread that spanned five years and contained 617 posts. A copy of this discussion thread has been added to my Google Drive. At the request of some kite flyers in the USA, I recently dusted off my dual line stunt kite design program for possible enhancements, to consider development of an ultra-light indoor dual line kite.
Yours in kiting,
Doug
