That's right, the love of ripstop and carbon fibre being made to do silly things.

You'll find it is all very informal. Though perhaps I should advertise myself as a specialist in fade control and the fractured flatspin. You'll have to ask someone else if you want to learn 2 point landings or crazy copter. It's a Cosmic thing 8)

What's happening about parking, normally there's a car park pass knocking around to download and print, anyone??

This from the Kite Society website:

Members of a kite club or the Kite Society can request a car pass by clicking here providing the club name.

It may be well too late but the 'here' is portsmouth@thekitesociety.org.uk

Is FA a kite society?

Am I a member of FA? or do I need a star under my name? and anyway, how do you get a star under your name? by buying andy some stuff off amazon?

I don't think we're "affiliated" with the KS in any way that will get you a pass. Worth a go if someone fancies though... paste it here when you get one ;)

Stars under the name used to be for people who supported FA by using the paypal or amazon 'tip jar' link, which is no longer used since we opened the store. Now I give out stars as and when I feel like it to people I think have acted generously or whatever. They entitle you to precisely nothing.

It wasn't at 16:17 this afternoon, which is when they emailed mine (a PDF), shortly after I requested it.

Sorted the parking thing, when the guy on the gate asked me for ID I said "i'm with him" pointing at the stranger in the Volvo who came in from a different direction :)

Many thanks to Byan and the chaps for a good day out.

Good to learn about the competition format, and good to spend some time with a great bunch of flyers. Will hopefully be bumping into you all again soon.

Cheers,
Martin

Yeah, nice day yesterday... Sunshine, blue skies, decent company and just about the nicest wind I've had to play with all summer.

The coaching was a bit disjointed, the rev. heads had hung around a bit longer than expected taking up one of the arenas, which left us fighting for our own space until the precision stuff had all finished. Big thanks to Al. for spending time with folk helping out (I'm sure there were others, but I noticed Al spending a good amount of time coaching - appreciated).

The TP thingy went down quite well I thought - plenty of food for thought and a step in the right direction towards a dedicated TP event next season. Thanks for joining in.
