Swindon Kite Festival - May 9/10th

Tue Mar 24, 2009 12:55 pm

The chairman is wondering if any multiline flyers are coming, so I said I'd ask - any takers??

Details on the web site: www.whkf.org.uk

p.s. mind the power lines!!!!!! (I'm not looking forward to this one - if the wind is wrong it could be nasty).

A subtlety has been added to the camping details if anyones looking - kiteflyers only! :oha:
It would appear the site has been listed as suitable for those wishing to visit the big Radio One bash at Llydiard Park :-({|= :band: :band: :inlove: , bless 'em! just that if we took all them in, there'll be nowhere to fly! :bigsmiley:
If you are coming to camp, dont worry too much about the club card bit, just helps to keep them plebs out. :bazooka:

The festival will have just two arenas for the single and multiline flying and NO spare flying area, so we need to organise our times a bit.
May I suggest we have an improptu pilots meeting at 10am each morning to sort out the flying for everyone with WHKF please, say at the PA tent.
They certainly wish to discuss the timing of any tricks competition, was the feedback I got!

Whoooa that sounds a bit ... organized.

Not sure what the plan is for me. May have work Saturday, certainly Sunday Morning. New Job and all.

We try not to be, but this site is smaller than what we're used to!
As ever with a single line club running a fest, they want multiline, but don't know what to do with them!! I have tried to educate them but....
It's only to sort out some ground rules, and make sure no-one hogs the arena.

Don't worry I do quite understand!

Dual line fliers are never appreciated. Here we are. Brains the size of planets and they ask us to fly with tails on ...
