We'll be down there all week and popping on any or all of the days. When I am not trying to landboard at Mawgan Porth or Gwithian that is.

How prophetic are you?

Friend just phoned.. they brought the van back from Isle of Wight Festival and it's now smelling of fuel and doing 8mpg .. off into the garage on Tuesday!!

We shall see.. might just have to be the Hezz-mobile instead 8)

Looks like I'll be able to "pop" over for Saturday. In an effort (probably futile) not to look like a complete tit, am I right that the beach below is the right one? Also, what time are people planning to get there on Saturday? I'm trying to figure out how disgustingly early I have to get up and on the road!

With any luck, I'll see you there...

Hey, that'll be great to see you here. You are correct, that is the beach we meet up on. We usually set up camp on the bit of beach right in centre of image, tourists and tide permitting.

People usually start gathering about 10.00am as most have camped overnight Friday locally.

NT Car park at end of Beach Road.

Bill,

Thanks for the confirmation. I'll aim for 10 to 11am then.

Looking forward to meeting a few more of the FA crowd...

Those dunes look so unimposing from that distance

I wonder who'll be the first to get moaned at by someone for flying too close to them ;)

Sounds like it's going to be a good laugh, with great weather. I look forward to seeing the photos and videos.

Was going to ask for a last minute local weather update, but found this instead...

Here's a nice local amateur weather station that I use a lot:

I find it needs a few more mph wind speed adding for this part of town though.

Forecast looking very light for the weekend. Looks like ULs will be the order of the day.

Not much experience around the Cornwall area. Is there enough land mass to allow a sea breeze to build up at this time of year?
