Looks like a few had gone walkabouts, and I'm sure there'll be better pictures around sonewhere.

A very good day, and a couple of useful lessons learnt:

#1 - I learnt that holding the lines in the wrong hands makes flying impossible

#2 - I learnt that learning lesson #1 in a trick-out competition is a bad idea #-o

You were offered extra points if you'd managed to fly your 30 second stint like that.

Looking at the pic, what the hell was so captivating to the left of camera? :?

What a glorious day for mid November. :)

^^ What everyone else said + nice to meet some new faces.

Shame the wind took a nose dive from morning onwards.

I'd do it again in a snap; lovely flying site!

Just to add my thanks for a great day and good company.

Many thanks to Bryan for organising the day and the advice on getting a new kite, the Deep Space is great!

Many thanks also to Neil for his tuition and taking the time to help me crack consistent axels and hopefully mastering the fade! I just hope that the weather is good this weekend so I can get in some more practice.

There are a few pictures from the day here.

Thanks Yan for doing all the driving.

Jonathan :D

Great set of photies Jonathan. Nice one.

Just to be clear, my advice was to get a new kite...
...The DS was an option. ;-) Good choice though.

Sounds like the day was pretty universally well recieved, so thanks everyone for coming along to play.

Hello all,
I really enjoyed the day at Hinckley last week. As a newbie I didn’t know what to expect but everyone I spoke to was very friendly and helpful. Especially Brian who showed me what my HQ Jive could do. I have definitely got the bug and will come to further flying days in the future if I can.
So thanks to Brian for organising a great day and thanks to every one else for making me welcome (I am the one in the wellies and his eyes shut in the photo by the way)
