MKF FFW and Better flying day(s) 26th - 27th July

Wed May 28, 2008 7:56 pm

Carnfield Hall - Derbyshire - DE55 2BE.

2 day fly in essentially, no program of events, nobody to entertain particularly - just a chill out session.

There's loads of room by all accounts, but we do have an arena (and probably PA) if anyone chooses to use it.

I thought it'd be good opportunity for better flying day type activities, and we'll do a TP (UK Style) on the Sunday afternoon and TO's both days if anyone can be bothered. ;-)

All welcome and camping on site available for MKF members (though I would imagine there'd be plenty of room for guests)

I'll also try and get over, though probably just Saturday afternoon.

I'm up for any BFD help that can be provided. :)

I am probably going to come up on the train.
Is there a shop somewhere near to the station where I can buy food/beer?

A possible for me/us, depending on weather, global warming(tm) and polar magnetic reversal

I think I have the all-clear for this one. Will do both days and camp in between. Will people be there from Friday evening?

Looks like there'll be a reasonable number around, so we'll definately run a coule of TO's over the weekend - maybe a Jaffa Cup on Sunday as well...

@ Yan, not sure about shops locally, never been there yet.

Weather looking a bit suspect. Hoping Metcheck is right (rain and some wind) is right and the others (rain and no wind) are wrong. :?

If anybody sees this in time and doesn't mind giving me an on site weather report early on Saturday, can you PM me.

Thanks,

Jon
