OK, thanks - I'll try to be there.

BTW, what's the SP for this? When are people planning to get started?

It will kick off at noon as there is no flying on the downs before that.

OK, thanks for letting me know.

I have a vision now of a bunch of kites all lined up and ready to go, and a countdown to noon (a la Le Mans)

Sorry I'm not there.... I really don't feel very well today and think I had better just chill out, might have a little fly here in Brighton but I'm not up to driving at all.

Beautiful weather, hope the wind is nice there.

Sorry to hear that Al.

I'm just having a bit of lunch then I'm off. Satnav says half an hour from here to Epsom Downs.

Just a quick note to thank everyone for making the nOOb feel welcome toady. I had a great time and it was nice to see some excellent flying... Also thanks to everyone who let me try thier kites out (even though all you have really done is make my shopping list longer!)

Didn't make it, but flew locally for hours in blazing sun and the smoothest wind I've seen round here for ages.

The good winds weren't everywhere. When/where we set out from near Gatwick, there wasn't any wind. So filled the car boot with SULs. But once over the North Downs escarpment, there was wind all the way to Epsom. Just lucky that we kept a few standards at the bottom of the boot.
There was no wind when we got back home either.
