I've added a calendar mod to the forum.

There's a link under the title at the top that takes you to a full page, one-month view, or a small toggle button to the right underneath that that toggles a one-week view.

When you start a new topic you can additionally choose to make it a calendar event by selecting the date, time and duration in the Options bit (at least I'm hoping non-admins can see this, let me know if you can't). This will then create an entry in the calendar which expands through the magic of Java when you hover your mouse over it. Click the event for a shortcut back to the post...

I've edited a couple of old posts and added events, like the Southampton comp. and Berck. If you post a new kiting event then please add an event to it from now on. I think that auction links could have a calendar event for the day they finish, perhaps?

Update: Non admin users can't add a calendar event, so if you want to PM me I'll add a calendar event to any appropriate post that you start.

Can see the main links to the calendar, but no extra options when starting a new thread.

Looks like an admin-only function Jim. I can see why that would be useful as we grow larger... I'm afraid we'll have to leave it like that.

Ok then - could you please add a little note to the next few 1st sundays of the month to show our Cardiff Area Fly-in? I'll put a general post up in the Flyin's thread you can link to. Cheers.

Yeah Jim... I can edit the first post of any thread to add a date, so you need to make a new post for each fly-in... Which kind of makes sense. Let's do 4 at a time?

Well, I'll just do the one to start with, as a general thingy and for the first of the series, then will add some more nearer the time (otherwise they'll be pushed down to the bottom of the page by more recent threads before they're even relevant.

But the calendar events will stay on the appropriate dates with clickable links to the post in question.
