The last weeks, there has been a lot of discussion about the festival and freestyle competition in Stella Plage (France). Dominique (organiser) only communicates in French, so here is a brief translation in English:
Dominique has had a lot of friendly discussions but an agreement was not possible. The members of the tourism office decided to cancel the festival without informing Dominique who is organising this festival since a long time.
Dominique decided to get in touch with other people and an agreement was made in the first week of february: the Europale Cup will take place in 2014 but not in Stella Plage. The competition will be held in Bray Dunes (very close to the border of lovely Belgium
). Getting there
I think for the British people it won't change a lot. (Calais - Stella is 70 km to the south and Calais - Bray Dunes is 60 km to the north). You can also come over by taking the ferry to Zeebrugge or Dunkerque (wich is very close to Bray Dunes).
