I struggle to get away for weekends as I have other commitments on Sundays. Bit far for a day trip!

Outlook for Friday to Sunday
Good spells of sunshine but also showers coming along, mainly during the afternoons and evenings, these heavy and perhaps thundery, especially over the weekend. Blustery winds, especially on Saturday.

Who is still in?

Top, top weekend! :D

Just the five of us each day, Piero, Enzo, Adrian, John (sat) Dave (sun) and me.
Just chilled out flying on sat, then impromtu game of HORSE and mistery ballet this afternoon.
Piero won both with Dave, Adrian and me behind. =D>

Lots of talk about the state of the UK freestyle scene and how it could be improved a bit.
Our answer today was - Day and weekend 'Tricks Clinics' with an ephasis on including and helping new flyers improve and some informal competition thrown in for those who are interested or just want to see the top flyers in full 'competition mode'.
- And the Freestyle Flyers Federation to try to promote a feeling of belonging to somthing.

See the other threads in the 'fly-meet discussion......

Sorry that I couldn't make it at all this w/e, but have been caught up with another event that's currently running!

As a complete beginner and mainly a lurker here on the forum, I have to say I would really appreciate a "clinic"-type event in the SE that could get me on the right road - of course we all have to balance commitments and family with our hobby but something like that would probably be easier to arrange with a bit of notice...

I don't see myself as the future of the UK freestyle scene (!) but would really welcome the opportunity to watch and learn from some of those who may be.

Great day despite the 10 minute deluge in the morning :D Great fun doing a few informal comps including a game of HORSE, a tricks on demand elimination competition, and a redneck style mystery ballet competition using Pieros car with all the doors open as a PA and Enzo on the decks, with a tipstand endurance competition and how many Comet rotations in one go competition to round thing off. :D
