anyone going to basingstoke this weekend?

Tue May 29, 2012 6:57 am

Is anyone going to basingstoke kite festival this coming weekend? If so please let me know as it would be nice to meet some more of you! If I remember there was quite a contingent of trick fliers last year, as well as usual suspects. Hope to see some of you there.

Cheers

Phil

Pretty good day today. Started out very grey, but the sun gradually showed its face. Wind pretty light, occasionally picking up.

Here's some photos.

Saturday was a good day as Lex said. Won't bother posting any pics as they're mostly the same things as Lex but less of them and not as good!!

Spent some more time flying with Chris and Pierro which was great - invaluable advice. Went back on Sunday once it had stopped raining, not may people there but caught up with Chris (and his mum) again and got some more flight time in - wind was pants though (no pun intended)

Also met Nick James and bought an angel which I had been wanting to do for a long time!

All in all not a bad weekend. Looking forward to Crantock now!

Sorry to hear that Dave. The man flu is not to be underestimated it is a lot more serious than many think - especialy all the women who mock us about it all the time - they don't realise how much worse it is than the girly flu they get! Hope you're feeeling better soon mate!

Glad you're feeling better. The cascades are coming along slowly but surely, haven't had much flying time since then.
