Would much rather be going to Bristol but theres only enough petrol in the tank to get me to Rufford!

So what's Rufford like as a flying location?

Bristol's too much of a trek, but there's an outside chance that I might be able to get over Saturday afternoon (and a greater than evens chance that I won't!)

Saturdays forcast looks ideal as long as the wind is from the south. The problem with Rufford is you're smack in the middle of Sherwood Forest, It's a really nice place but if the wind comes from the wrong direction it gets blocked by the trees.
Can get quite busy if the sun shines.

The missus must have had a drink. Just asked her if she fancies a trip out tomorrow, fully expecting the stare of death and she casually asked why Rufford?

She said ok! It almost bought a tear to my eye

All being well I should be there middayish. Forecast is SSW 8-12 with gusts to 20!, Mind you that doesn't mean much at Rufford! I'll bring the full bag, that should cover it!

I'll be there Sunday at about 10ish.
