Project KARA

Fri Jul 01, 2011 8:59 am

My congratulations to all over at The Wash, namely the Great Ouse Kite Flyers & Co (Dennis England, Scott Butler, et al.). for their acheivement in getting the new British kite altitude record last sunday at 18,600 feet (thats over 3 1/2 miles high!!!).
I know they have been trying over the past 5 years to achive this, so it's good to see it's been done at last.

Now what do you do with 30,000 ft of dyneema after that!!!

In case your wondering, I understand the world record stands at 31,955 ft, so if anyone has as much line again spare.......

Just think what that lot would be like to untangle....
