The Treasure Island Sport Kite Championships will be held during the Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday weekend in January (Jan. 15-16) at the Treasure Island Kite Festival. Full information and registration can be found at the Eastern League website here:

Terry Murray and Kitebus Festivals will be there to do the announcing and the sound, and Maggie Engvall will be the chief judge, so you know it's going to be a first class, fun event.

Grand national champion kitemaker Will Sturdy has once again pitched in to help the cause by donating a Saber II. The winner of the kite will be able to choose custom colors, and all proceeds go directly to the costs of putting on the competition.
