It was definitely NOT dry in Bristol when I drove through it last night, but it's looking good today in Cardiff so finger crossed indeed.

Thanks to all for a great day it was good to meet up with everyone again. Thanks for the advise/coaching from Keith and Vee. But coming home to a delicious roast dinner made by my beautiful wife has topped the day off perfectly. :D
Time for another glass of wine now me thinks.

It stayed dry! Even had my sunglasses on.

A very nice today although not as much flying as we would have liked due to the complete lack of wind in the afternoon.

Great to meet up again and good to see some new faces as well.

Great cakes Vee; I think the E numbers are just starting to wear off.

and thanks to Vee for patching me up...top tip is when using a craft knife to do some in field repairs be VERY careful. Thankfully I didn't need stitches and I sure it will leave a great scar that I can tell the grandchildren in years to come of some heroric deed rather than my plain stupidity.

Thanks to all of you who spared me some time today to expalin a number of things. even though the wind was a little on the light side the day, the chats regrading kite set up and techniques will be a great help to me.

On which note; I have measured the Nitro diameter in comparison to the Icone lower spreaders and they are the near identical. I inserted the original icone as discussed today and then tried the nitro with no problem. Guess the t'piece is just a little tight.

Ordered some spares and may catch up with some of you again in the near future.

I must put together a repair pack for those flying days..is there a list of useful stuff to have with you...Oh...Mine might include a pair of scissors rather than a craft knife, Dave....

Thanks again...really enjoyed the day and will keep an eye out for some other meets.

Sorry we failed to say hello.
My job can be a arse sometimes.
Glad you all had a great time.
Still in trouble with the wife!

At the end of the day it's not down to the weather, but the people and the knowledge shared.

Hope to catch up next time.

A lot of help in the ramblings John...wish i'd taken some time when i bought the kite to learn how to set it up correctly.

I Have recieved a replacement spreader from Craig via the FA shop...very efficient service, looking forward to flying with a decreased risk of breaking the spreader. Some of my questions may have seemed a little obvious to the trained eye..for the beginner its a steep learning curve and in the process, some costly mistakes.

I took a lot away from the day.. now i'm looking forward to getting some flying in..
