STACK UK Trick Clinic - Rougham

Sat May 08, 2010 2:11 pm

Saturday 15th @ 2.00 PM (unless the STACK schedule runs over) for about an hour.

This session we'll cover 'Stalls' and 'Slides', 'Axels', 'Half Axels' and 'Cometes' for the more ambitious. Free of charge, but a volountary contribution of up to £5 would be nice to raise funds for TP 2010. All welcome - meet at STACK control at 2.00 PM. Just bring yourself and a kite - we'll do the rest.

Sunday 16th @ 2.00 PM (unless the STACK schedule runs over) for about an hour.

This session we'll cover 'Fades' and 'Turtles', 'Backspins' , 'Lazy Susans' and 'Jacobs Ladders'. Free of charge, but a volountary contribution of up to £5 would be nice to raise funds for TP 2010. All welcome - meet at STACK control at 2.00 PM. Just bring yourself and a kite - we'll do the rest.

@Yan, I'm not registered on the Suffolk forum if you wanna cross-post

Great idea, Bryan.

Can't make Rougham though. :(

If it's a success, any chance of running it again at an even closer 'up North' (near me, me, me, me)

I'd stick with what you've got, you are not involved in the afternoon's activities in the arena, and there is space behind the arena you can use (STACK practice area on the map). I'll need my lunchhour and am competing at 2pm so neither is practical for me anyway.

Nice idea Bryan, however, I can't make it to Rougham.

Are you planning on doing something similar at Basingstoke?

Cheers,
Martin

Nice weekend generally, despite forecasts to suggest crap weather that didn't come.

Excellent work Keith, Vee and the rest of the team getting the STACKy stuff done and keeping the arena going.

I didn't particularly enjoy the layout of the festival this year, where-ever you were, it just seemed you were miles from anywhere else - all a bit spread out and rambling. The Powerkiters had plenty of room for their stuff though, and that makes up a big wedge of the membership I'd guess, so plenty were pleased with it I'm sure.

One attendee for a Clinic on Saturday, so we played with a SD for an hour instead. ;-) None on Sunday - so we didn't. 3 Registered for the Sunday Trick Out so we didn't do that either. Nice quiet weekend really, couple of quick sessions in the STACK arena and not much else.

@ Jon, don't know off-hand when we're next Upt North - but I'm sure we can sort something.

@ Martin - If you mean the Northants Jolly Up near Basingstoke then no, that'll be our TP weekend. If you mean the Basingstoke Festival - 's not in the diary.

In the interest of forward planning, I'll sort some timings and such out for extra activities at Southampton in June, see if we can get a few more bodies on the ground.

to raise funds for TP 2010

Bryan, is there a paypal address to make a donation?

Thanks for your time and advice

Sorry Kev, missed this... Nice to spend some time with you last weekend.

I wouldn't be overly concerned about a donation ;-)

Donate by coming to the Jolly up and competing, even if it is only as a novice.

Nice to spend some time with you last weekend.

Yeah thanks, you'll be glad to know everything we worked on is greatly improved.
I had 2 good flying sessions at the weekend in 8-10Mph wind smooth as glass straight of the sea.

That back spin just needed as much slack you can give, just as you said.
Managed to loose that barrel roll effect and get it much flatter. I Just need to get it with the right hand now!

Donate by coming to the Jolly up and competing, even if it is only as a novice.

I maybe tempted at some stage.
