We plan on dropping by for part of Saturday and part of Sunday.

Never been to this one before - should I bring a kite with me, or is there not much room to fly (or should I just blag a go on one of yours, Roy ;-) )?

It's the biggest flying site in London so there shouldn't be a problem with room.

If you're driving be aware that there's no parking on the common unless you've already got a car pass from the Kite Society. Most of the roads around the common are no parking and the parking in Greenwich Park is limited to 2 or 4 hours (can't remember which). Some of the side streets in Blackheath will be OK on the Sunday, but I'm not sure about the Saturday - and they're VERY hot at issuing tickets round there.

You're welcome to fly anything of mine, Keith but if I come by public transport I won't have much with me.

Cheers Roy - We'll be coming on the train - I may double fold my DS and bring that along - do you have any local insight into the likely wind & weather?

Newbie(ish) here. I'm planning on going down on the Sunday.

If you see an orange DS, or a grey/blue/white Talon, it may be me on the other end, so do come and say hello.

Looking forward to it.

Could have done with the wind not changing direction every few minutes but you can't have everything.
