Hinckley Fly in.

Mon Jan 21, 2019 7:05 pm

Sunday 17th March

I'll be in Hinckey, and will happily go fly at Wykin Park like we used to do.
Anyone fancy it?

I did think about it, but wasn't sure how welcome I would be. ;)

Nice one Bryan, I'm in for an old fashion knees-up.

Think Steve is interested as well.

I'll pester MarK Clements and see if I can drag him across for the day.

I've posted this on the MKF Facebook page too.
There's been some interest, so it looks like there may be a few there.

This is just a week away now, and actually the forecast looks pretty good for next weekend.

Had assumed you had pre-ordered the weather, Bryan.  ;)  Hope you are not going to let us down. :D

Bryan. Will anyone be able to check on the condition of the park nearer the day. If I remember correctly it doesn't have the best drainage and I just wondered if after all this rain Wykin Park was now a lake LOL

Bring your wellies, Steve. ;)

Forecast looking a tad windy as well:  16 mph gusting 34 at midday on Met Office:  https://www.metoffice.gov.uk/weather/forecast/gcr4btw97#?date=2019-03-17

Windguru slightly better, but still 17 mph gusting 25 at midday and increasing in the afternoon.

I will keep an eye on the forecast in the hope that it improves, however I wouldn't contemplate travelling 15 minutes to Lyme Park as things stand.  Party pooper #1 at your service. :(

Just got to Burbage.
I haven't been to the field, but it wasn't raining here when I got here.
I'm gonna go down for at least a couple of hours from 10.30 ish anyway, and stay into the afternoon if there's a few around and it's a reasonable day. BBC is still saying 13 - 15 mph. 'Shrugs'
