Looked out of my kitchen window this morning, towards Crantock / Newquay and all I could see was mist :(

Blowing quite strong too...

Gonna wait and see what its like later on before making the trip over to Crantock Beach to meet up with the guys / gals...

Just got back from another great Crantock weekend, Great to see old friends again.

Wind was testing, but settled down in the early evenings each day. In fact there were a couple of saddos on the beach till 10 last night (blame it on the coal dust ).

Best wind of the day. Flying against the sunset with the waves gently rolling in.

Priceless. :D

Thanks to everyone for a great weekend.
My first Crantock and defiantly not my last.
Just one question why don’t we do more of this sort of thing?
Much better than the festivals in my opinion.

Good to see you all at the weekend, the wind on Thursday evening and Friday morning was sweet, (before the gales & rain hit us!)
Did Simons jeans ever dry out?

Just a wonderful W.end, beau weather on sunday shame bout the wind

throughout really- well, except for the super lucky ones who got there before

and stayed after. (Got to get prorities right for next year)

Saw some great flyin even in those winds, was quite scary on the sunday tho

with so many people on the beach and a beast of a Nirvana at the end of the

lines.

It was my first year and great to meet so many trick flyers, cant wait for

the next one- surely it could be biannually.. at least

Yup, nice weekend... great to see y'all 'cept - where's all the coffee gone?

Couple of sweet sessions and a few dodgy ones, fair bit of sunshine on Sunday - and at least a couple of interesting new potential toys. ;-)

Bryan

OOooh, nice to see Mark out of the house for a while ;-)

Top weekend as ever.
For me, the weather/wind is only one part of it.
The camping, having a laugh, bbq's, seeing some top flying................oh, and having a coffee and a warm in the B's van.

Perhaps we ought to mention our resident joker at this point.

I'd dearly like to believe that Simon means 'old' as in 'long standing', though experience tends to suggest otherwise. :D

Think I may owe you a jar of coffee, just based on my own efforts. Thanks, Bryan (and of course Mrs B), for helping out in our 'hour of need'.

Enjoyed the jaunt down to Cornwall, even though I didn't do much flying. Sunday's weather was gorgeous but the swirly wind off the dunes made for a frustrating time. Still it was nice to see friends again and just enjoy the sunshine 8) Missed it last year as I had to go to a "Team Building Weekend" for work - would have much rather gone to Crantock!

Shame the weather could have been better on Friday & Monday but to be honest it was still wonderful to be in Cornwall and not at work!! he he

Hope to see more of you next year and also get a bit more flying done.

Note to organisers: there's no Glastonbury festival in 2012, but for 2013 .. would be a good idea not to schedule Crantock meet for the same weekend..
