Tricks Party descriptions

Sat May 12, 2007 11:04 am

So, I've just been looking at the Tricks Party USA website for the first time. Their trick descriptions are pretty good aren't they?
There are one or two contensious (spelling?!) points such as the direction of the rotation in a Jacobs Ladder not mattering, but on the whole they're decriptive and clear to understand.
Could we use their descriptions in the Tricky Wiki? Would this be an exercise in spreading knowledge, or would we be 'nicking' their descriptions and the work they put into compiling them.
It seems sensible to me that the descriptions on our site would help anyone who was thinking of competing in tricks party competion.

Is anyone here a rep for tricks party (I don't know much about it as I don't get to attend meets - I work at weekends)? Is so, do you think it would be okay? I don't mind copying the info to the Tricky Wiki if so.

We have Ron's permission to use those descriptions as long as they are individually credited as such, with a link to the TPUSA site.

I have now added all the USA Tricks Party definitions and a TP menu. Thanks to Ron for giving me permission to use his definitions.

Nice one, David. :)

Thanks for taking the time out to move the Wiki forward.

The move to capture the TP-USA stuff is to be applauded, since there must be doubts about the longevity of the TP-USA site.

I don't know if one has ever been written, but I do know that it is not part of this "Trick Definitions for Tricks Party USA (TP-USA)* (June 26, 2007)" which is the source that I have used for the Wiki. If any one has a more relevant list I will be happy to update the Wiki.

In NL there's no Yoyo-540 added to the TP groups yet.

Just went to check one of the tutorial vids last night and it looks as though the site has already bitten the dust.

Don't know whether you want to try and find somewhere to host them (if Ron is OK with that),, but I have 36 of them, which might be a full complement, on my hard drive and can put them on a CD for you if required.

When I put the links in the site had RIP as it's home page, but the video links still worked. If it is the case that the site has now completely gone then hosting them elsewhere would be the next best thing.

If any one knows how I can get in touch with Ron or a good place for me to host the videos YouTube etc. Please let me know so I can sort it out. As it would be a shame that they were lost as they have help so many flyer's in the past.
