I think Peter Peters' site is the best place to start from as there's a long-established (if slightly dated) list of tricks there with input from some of the top trick flyers around.
We still need to establish a concrete format for each page, but Rob's suggestion:
I would propose the various sections for each "trick"
Description of the trick, including possible origins, diferent styles of execution, and possibly modifications to the trick (i.e. for a 540 make sure to mention, and link to, slot machines, yo-yo 540's, yo-yo slotmachines, 900's etc..)
Description of execution, split into subtypes for different executions on different kites.
Description of design features of a kite that enhance or detract from the kite's ability to do the trick.
Video reference linking to videos with time of the trick
Tutorial links
References (necassary for origin certainly among other things)
Links to other websites of discussion.
To which I replied:
I suggested using PP's list as a well established list of tricks (up to a point) with some very experienced people's input. Rob's layout looks good, but I'd move the possible origins, different styles and modifications to the end, along with design features of kites. Most users will just want the basics, which is what PP's list already contains in the majority of cases.
So, using all this as a starting point, let's see what can be done as a community.
