Has anyone else had a problem with downloading Brian Litkes video? I had 90 seconds of a VF12 title with music and no flying thought it was joke and nearly zeroed it then noticed that the thumbnail had a faint backround image with a kite, tried downloading again still the same, tried a third time and voila a nice little vf entry. Phew that was close

Edit: but of course Mike wouldn't have let it through in the first place. Double

It is an MPG video which some default players don't have a codec for as standard and might need to go fetch. I really do recommend VLC (or possibly even better Portable VLC on a USB stick) as it will make almost anything work that can be made to work in your environment.

I don't especially mind recooking the videos if someone is reviewing these videos from The Age of Steam :P but the file size limit is now 20MB and that can mean HD-sized videos. Some netbooks might struggle.

I do check the videos with Portable VLC so I know they do work with the latest/current version. Any download problems that recur I'll have to pass along to our gracious host.

Mike.

I have downloaded the VLC programme to my PC.
The vids that I had trouble with play perfectly the ones that were slow or blocky play perfectly too.
I would like to apologise to Mike for making extra work for him, as he did recommend getting a copy from the start.
And offer my recommendation to anyone else who like me as an older PC.

Sorry for the previous whining. I loved the videos. Scores will be in later today. Thanks for that, guys.

Some observations.

The Fearless light flew very nicely. Eli made it look easy, and tidy as well.

The Talon is an impressive kite all around. Top marks, Mark. Apparently you are doing something right.

YoFade backspins, I think a first in VF...also at least one flier reversing lazies, tasty.

I think all the videos had a yoyo in there somewhere, present company excluded.

Some great examples of the variation in pace and flow that's possible with these different kites, too.

I have high hopes that we'll get more Dutchies in VF13, as I know there is some great flying happening there right now. I am also hoping for Piero to come back. I think the winner this round would have given him a run for his money.

Really...way to go everyone! Really great round of videos IMHO.

Just three more scores to be received. Without wishing to give anything away... I'd describe this as something of a surprise result* Or at least I'm surprised.

Mike.
* and no, not just because it definitely won't be Piero.

Nice videos all.
Watching them makes me feel a lot better about the conditions I fly in. :-)
