Just to clear on rules..

Routine is 60sec, credit before or after can be slightly longer?

Music is allowed and/or preferred?
Anyway this cake is great.

Just my view but....

Yes. Take a look at any previous entry... any discussion thread.... the website..... etc. etc. :-) Take-off to landing is recommended. No edits, speed adjustments, etc.

credit before or after

Optional. Davey's anonymous notion seems to have gone by the wayside. :-(

Music is allowed and/or preferred?

Optional.

But let us let the VF custodians have the final word on this.

Mike.

Id really prefer it all to be anonymous, I planned to compete in vf5 on the notion that anonymous was how it was going to run. I said i was going in vf6 before i noticed vf5 wasnt anonymous at all.

Even though most folks would be able to tell easily by kite or style.. it would be much better for such a contest to be judged anon.

Yes it could be difficult to submit anon due to kite flown and location, Purley Way for Piero & Co., fir trees and zero wind for Mike ;).

As long as the judging sticks to the rules - difficulty of routine/quality of tricks then the winner should be a fair judgement.

The original concept was to allow for folks to fly something different and maybe make the competition more exciting..

i.e. who's that crazy man flying the Next

Or whatnot.

Im still in, but I really though anon would be way more fun.

The original concept was to allow people to participate in a no-pressure competition from their local field. I don't recall any discussion about anonymity before this.

For many folks there is no such thing!

Anonymous vids was originally mentioned with the intent of allowing less-biased peer judging and some 'surprises' and more excitement in the comp.

I think it'd be more likely to see some of the greater, and some of the lesser fliers if they could enter and not entirely give away who they are.

My understanding of the purpose of anonymity was to resolve any preferences in the scoring or each routine, with less risk of 'I like them - so I'll score them higher'. I'm not sure about total anonymity, as it would be a shame for a high-profile flyer to take part, yet not wanting to acknowledge having taken part.

I'm happy to have a stipulation of anonymity (no flyer name on titles) within a routine for this round to see how it works out, but I'm not sure about having routines from 'Mystery Flyer No.1' etc. On that point I'll need some convincing.

How about 'Next-to-no-pressure competition (tm)'?

Consider me prodded, nudged, or whatever... Site has been updated and I'm extending until the end of November.

Should be enough time to allow those who haven't yet been able to get an entry sorted (myself included - bust finger, see site) and allow others a decent chance to get involved.

Remember - Kite up for grabs in this round!!!
