Rokkaku Challenge 2010

Thu Jan 07, 2010 2:42 pm

Yep, we're starting again!!

I am presuming we will have time at the British Leisure Show to run a round while we are there, so thats the first round in March!
Now I have it confirmed that there will be a round at Streatham on the 11th April, along with a number of other sites throughout the year (Swindon and Bristol have confirmed already, all our competition rounds of cause, along with KSGB events, others to follow as usual).

So get some fresh line out ready.......

OK, so we don't mention the Leasure show.... Lets move on to what will be the first Rok fight of the season:

Streatham, 11th April.

Bob Colover has kindly offered run this event, so get down there and enjoy.

I've not had many confirmed festivals yet, but expect to hear from them soon.

Bob has agreed to host this event. We're hoping someone from STACK will be there to run it on the day.

Thanks for the comment Roy, and I had intented to attend, but unfortunately I will be spending time in Devon in the near future due to a family issue.

Sorry to ask this but I would very much appreciate any one from STACK that would be at this event that could help Bob in judging this round to please get in touch and take my place.

Appologies for the short notice.

If there is no one there from STACK it is very unlikely that the Rok fight will take place, so I'd be grateful if you could suggest who might be able to attend.

Three rounds gone, slow start to the competition, with low numbers so far. Initial results show Dave Hollingworth from Brighton KF in the lead, equal second come Mr and Mrs Byth, with our own Mick Burls in forth from just one result.
Next competitions are hoped to be seen at Exmouth, Basingstoke, Wirral, Teston Bridge, Blackheath, Soouthampton and Barmouth kite festivals into June, Followed by Sunderland, Brighton, Leominster, Dunstable, Silloth, Dover, Teston Bridge, Portsmouth and Bristol festivals.
Go to a festival, badger the organisers to run a round, and send me the results!

Thought an update might be appropiate!

not that I'm suggesting this is official or anythink, but what I have shows the following:

leading the pack: Sarah Lyth,
in contention: Dave Hollingworth and Mick Burls.
ones to watch: Andrew Taylor, Bonefish, Collin M, Ray Oakhill and Andrew Scott
not to be ignored: David Lyth.
and theres another dozen on the score sheet fighting.

So get yourselves to Southampton and Bristol to see the season out!
