Yeah, but to compensate, Andy has dispensed with using a timepiece for timing the event, resulting in fliers randomly getting anything up to a minute for each of their 30 second sections.

No disrespect to Andy, because I'm all in favour of less formal and more fun. But if we are going to keep ongoing scores and declare a national champion on it (which I personally think is a bad idea with this comp) then we should at least make sure that each flier gets the same time to fly.
Also, I would rather have less commentary than more (especially when it digresses into an extended discussion of the commentator's personal preference in kites
). Most people don't care what the tricks are called or how easy it is to do on one kite over another. They just want to watch the flying and listen to the music. I think the occasional "Wow, that was a XXXXX trick, that'll impress the judges" is better than a continual stream of commentary.
Hope that doesn't sound like I'm knocking you Andy - you're doing a great job in organising and running these events and we're all most grateful.
