EuroCup 2008 - "guess the result" for money !

Fri Sep 12, 2008 2:04 pm

As I can't make the event (nowt unusual there) I thought I'd at least take some interest and try to engage others too. I'll stump up £25-worth of KiteQuids™ to whoever gets this most right:-

go hereand pick the top three finishing order for each class (apart from Quadline Pair natch... which is the one at the bottom of the page also labelled Dualline Pair - they are sponsored by a "cigarette" paper company). You'll get 2 points for each right-person-right-place and just the 1 point for right-person-wrong-place and then multiply these x3 for DI and MI, x2 for DP. Clear (ish) or do you need a diagram ?

Look...just make the picks, I'll deal with the numbers. I like numbers. :-D Post it as a reply here like this:-
    DI
    1 -
    2 -
    3 -
    DP
    1 -
    2 -
    3 -
    DT
    1 -
    2 -
    3 -
    MI
    1 -
    2 -
    3 -

One entry per person, normal conditions and restrictions apply, all rights reserved.

(a bit of a low turn out, early doors)

Mike.

The jury awards you a bonus point for submitting the first entry. You're in the lead for now

Roll up, roll up, etc.

OK, two obvious problems:-

The list of competitors is wrong, Chris is NOT flying MI, as he cannot possible be expected to do four disciplines at Eurocup level.

But never fear because he is flying DP, with Sasha, as Diesel, a wildcard entry.

So my choices:
DI
1) Carl
2) Richard Debray
3) Chris

(but then i only know the work of a few of the fliers)

DP
1) Courant d'Air
2) Diesel (I've seen them practice :-)
3) In et Out

DT - what a lineup, only 4 but all are capable
1) Scratch Bunnies
2) O4
3) Flame

MI
1) Guido
2) James
3) no idea :-)

Lightweight :P His Carlness managed this sort of schedule once upon a time, wassaproblem ?

But never fear because he is flying DP, with Sasha, as Diesel, a wildcard entry.

Umm.... this isn't helping. Is that, oh STACK insider, the real entry list on the official website or is it a work of fantasy ?

Well, as I said; for the UK the list is wrong, I have no knowledge of any other countries. I have passed on the correct list to the SIEC people as is my role as ND so don't know how this didn't get to the Dutch organizers. This looks like the original prospective list before finalisation and addition of wildcards.

hmmm the lists of competitors have been changing so much that I lost track. My last info from Andrew Taylor was that Diesel don't fly.

Very hot news is that Mathieu Mayet is coming for the pair competition with Richard Debray. (message came in yesterday)

I just going to sit in the hotel tomorrow morning and let's see who are coming. It's going to be a good show for sure.

Oh bugger, all bets on pairs are off!

Glad we couldn't make it now from the competing point of view, but would love to see the competition.

Somebody please get some video.

Which isn't making this particular enterprise any easier.:?

Mathieu finally coming round to the idea of "if you can't beat him, join him in Pairs competition" :P

That should be worth watching if nothing else.

Interesting question would probably be do they qualify?

Official STACK EuroCup 2008 (EC2008) Information wrote:
QUALIFICATION
Will you have competed in at least 1 STACK sanctioned event in the 12 months
preceding the start of EC2008 (19/09)?
If NO, you are not qualified for EC2008.
If YES, you are qualified for EC2008.
