Looking at the points it looks like Martin got joint 18th yesterday with 16.39 points, so I wonder how the decision was made to allow Ergan Davis through?

Are you interested in the Kites that have been used during the FWC? I started a list in the GWTW Forum.
May be you can help me figuring out which kite are flown because I am totally lost.

Here
is the list.

Thank you

Looks like Martin scored 0 in the imposed tricks section. There's prolly some rule where that figures in case of a tie.

GO CANADA!!!!

Great shame that both Chris and Juha have dropped from the title hunt.
Is it going to be Gregory or Richard who get the title?

Richard Debray did it.
France top four places individual, top two both team and pairs.
What gives
Looking forward to the DVD of the event.

Randy - any idea how much specific Tricks Party practice the US team put in?

There was no US Team at the event. Our pilots were Ari Contzius, Ron Graziano, Alex Mason and Rob Autrey. Ari and Ron live fairly close and have flown pairs for years. IMO, there simply was no way, due to logistics, to get a team together. The best flyers live too far apart. At least to compete at this very high level and to perform this sort of freestyle.

I must re-state this is my opinion and not necessarily fact.

just got back 2 hours ago... had a blast (literally...) wind was strong... so was the beer, conditions were very hard, for everyone but still there was some great flying to be seen

The thing i will take awat from WTP is friendship, everybody was really nice and friendly, i hope to see all of them again some day.

I am pleased with my placing... i beat some really awsome pilots in some really challenging conditions and made the top 20 in the world.... :D

oh and i also survived sharing a room with Wardley for a week.......

Yeah, and I just about survived doing all the washing and cleaning up after you left this morning! But I guess that's the price we pay for having the party/perudo room. ;-)

I also had a great time, despite getting less than 4 hours sleep every night for a week (Martan Devonshyer you are a bad, bad man making me drink all that beer!) The people were so cool, the wind was utterly shite (e.g. the wind gusting at 54mph, yes, miles per hour during Chris Goff's first ballet!), but there was some great flying all the same.

Quotes of the week: "I am never going to complain about the wind on my local flying field ever again" and "Bloody hell, I've got sand in every orifice".

Oh, and in case anyone's interested, I got all the pilots and various other people to sign my (unworn) FWC2005 T-Shirt. I thought about auctioning it. Anyone interested in such a piece of kiting history?
