Earworms

Fri Mar 11, 2011 3:28 pm

Well, I've just finished writing the new Ex-grads ballet. My mind may explode and I now have a permanent earworm. I've listened to that damn track, my itunes tells me 127 times, but it doesn't count the times I've listened to it on the ipod- probably only half the number as itunes! My mind will certainly explode, I'll try to do it quietly. ](*,)

By the way does anyone else play the "whose ballet was that game"? Keith and I only have to look at each other now.

5/12 with 2 that we should know but don't.

I'll pass it on to Doug Irvine though, he'll know more!

Thaaaaat's a lot of film theme music

BTW I'm not sure if this would rank as my favourite piece of Ballet music but definitely the most surprising thing to hear, uncensored, being blasted across an arena. An excerpt from about the 3 minute mark and almost heroically NSFW. No, I'm not going to post a link but...

Frank Zappa's Broken Hearts Are For Assholes. Look it up if you don't know and are feeling ready for a shock. Do you know the culprit (singular) ?

Sure I could think of more.. these were just the first dozen I thought of during a very "busy" friday afternoon.

I do seem to recall a certain Mr Reading flying to a song with lyrics not suitable before the 9pm watershed.

No. 11 was used on a boot camp, but not to fly to. used in the training one evening.

I vagely recall watching someone fly to it at the boot camp at Weston which Mr Phelps organised (Mary-Anne and Tony?). Could be wrong though. Although it was definitely used as a competitive routine well before this :)

5
6

11 I don't remember this from bootcamp 4, but I think I should know it, Keith had a conversation about it with Kathy Jarvis, so possibly Punchlines or Bitter & twisted?
12 Keith thinks it should be Skydance, but I think I remember Steve Matchett flying to it.
