John Barresi Rev 1.5 - available in the UK

Mon Apr 23, 2007 7:55 pm

I have been checking out the prices of some other stuff and have found the Barrassi Rev available here in the UK. It also looks like they are also offering the new Rev colour range.

Price: £229.98
Just a shame here in "Rip-Off" Britain we have to pay nearly double the price our USA friends pay.... :-(

Googled for it and this was the first hit.

They sell it for $259.99 which using http://www.xe.com/ converts to 130.227 GBP
A whopping £100 dearer here than in the States!!!! :-(

Perhaps just buy it from overseas then? The differences in shipping surely can be £100
Anyway this cake is great.
It's so delicious and moist

My rev 1.5 has now got a hole in it so was considering the Barrassi rev, orignally $300 converted to £150 and thought it was worth shipping and other costs, but at £130 compared to £230 its def worth the risk.
Pity really, I'm in the market and would like to support UK shops but ain't got money to burn.

Not sure if he is willing or able but I took advantage of this

Worked out really well and I have still not met up with him to buy him the pint I promised. Don't know if he is still checking in here but might be worth a PM.

Apparently this kite comes with a "special edition John Barresi DVD". As the original Rev videos are so dated now I was wondering if anyone has seen the new version and whether it is worth hunting down a copy.

I knew one existed and I’m quite keen to have a look myself, but you may find it difficult to get hold of one, it looks like they are only available to B Series owners and it looks like he’s quite keen to protect his intellectual property see here.

If you have no luck you will jast have to wait for this, though it looks like it may be a long wait.

From the Rev website:

Purchased a B-Series Revolution and didn't receive your special DVD?

Send me an email, including a recent photo of you with your B-Series, and I'll provide you with a download link to obtain all the necessary files to burn your own for personal use.

I hadn’t given that one a thought, it’s a nice on if you can pull it off.

I see the price has dropped at the original site. Has anyone bought one yet?

They had one Baressi 1.5 Rev in stock, in green. It looked good, and with a price tag of $295 even better to us UK peeps! They ship worldwide!! ;-)
