Ok, this may be a silly question, but how important is the bridle on a Rev 1?

Has anyone tried attaching the lines directly to the kite, if so, with what results?

Keep smiling, keep flying

I've seen 1.5's flown without a bridle but not a 1. The lines are attached to pigtail loops threaded through the top and bottom vertical spar endcaps. This has the effect of giving you greater brake contact with the bottom line, especially if you use some super-extended handles so that they getting on for the same length as the vertical spar. Guido Maiocchi and other Italian fliers have adopted this set up and with great success.
Other folks have retained the bridle but changed the layout in order to widen the top attachments. Some say it helps
