Hiya to all :-D new Rev1 arrived today.....sadly have to go to work tonight !! Anyway, DVd didn't work and IMHO the instruction manual is poor.............or has the sail been set up wrong ?? just a few questions to sort out before i get it out tomorrow,i apologies for what you may think are daft questions.
1. When in flight is the "revolution"logo facing the flyer ??
2. Do the 2 spars go at the back of the kite ??
3. When fitting the 2 spars,do they go through the loops in the bridle (I suspect this is where the brake lines attach.
4. Should the strut caps at the bottom of the sail be on the logo side........mine are ??

many thanks for forthcoming info, I will be back tomorrow for sure with more questions :? Hope to meet up with Rev flyers soonish, been buggying for years but hip problem has put an end to that so into stunt kites it is :-)
Regards
John

hi,
1. Yes
2. Yes
3. Not sure what you mean.
4. The end caps should be on the rear, because the spars are at the rear.

Try and meet up with David Ellison he`s down your way.

Hello Dave,Torquay and I may need a bit of advise :-D If you could spare me an hour in the near future I would be much appreciated. Wife and I are regular visitors to Totnes (dartington hall etc)
have flown deltas and power kites for quite some time and I have treated myself to a Rev 1 (taken in by reviews!!)
Back to work now :( hope to hear from you. Regards john

hi Wockey

It sounds like the bridle has wrapped itself around the wrong side of the sail.

If you take all the spars out, you'll be able to move the bridle around to the front of the kite (logo side). The end caps will swivel around to the back of the kite. (make sure the bungee is not twisted). Then you put in the leading edge, then the two spars at the back. Bridle attachment points should then be obvious.

Hope this helps

Thanks to David the bridle is sorted (sadly not RTF nor was there anything about connecting bridle in the instructions  )

Anyway, after a week Torbay got a bit of decent wind, albeit gusty. Well, I had to stop flying the Rev 1 after 3 hours because my cheeks were aching with laughter  a fun, challenging kite is an understatement, cant wait for some clean wind.
I know you shouldn't run before you can walk but a set of ultra light spars is my next treat.......does anyone know where I can get a custom Rev 1 vented sail ?? jassus i'm starting to run !!

You could always ask some of the clever chappies over on kitebuilder. They may be willing to make you one.
I have an order for a custom NPW there.
