I'd love something like this I'd wire it up to every gawddam pipe in the building and deliberately drive the neighbours crazy when they annoy me with their noise. :D

Is it the kiteflying that "selects" us or is it just that we're computer literate enough and accepting enough to participate on an online forum. Surely thats the selection bias.

I don't believe the forum usage is a good enough selection bias. There are some very non-nerdy/geeky forums out there.

What I want to know is how on earth you stumbled across that ?
Also, read the section "Welcome to the Netmums Coffeehouse". You can't tell me that the Mums here are not a little bit nerdy.
If I told my mum to delete her cookies, .... :?

my (nerdy) wife helps them out with some of their web stuff (after being introduced to it by one of our definitely not-nerdy friends) ;-)

I ran the gamut of emotions watching this; I was impressed at the ingenuity, yet terrified that someone sat down and dreamt this up.

An r/c model helicopter with a front mounted pistol

What I want to see next is it chasing feral dogs down the street with a Barbie™ doll dressed as Sarah Palin sat in the cockpit. Then the apocalypse can begin.

Mike,
I really shouldn't follow forwarded links to that site.

Its kind of nerd meets red neck Deliverance style and why in god's name would you want to weaponise your RC model helicopter? How long before the springfield is swapped for an Ingram, only in America.....
A NOHD will be published for the DS in due course, till then wear sunnies.
