The official statement had been that Richard was unable to fly his old ballet with the Next, because Nirvana and Next behave differently. And Richard did not have enough time to develop a new ballet.

I have had four Next, the white Next, the team std version, an UL and an Team UL. I tried the three point bridle and the reverse turbo.

I think the marketing of R-Sky tried to convince the Nirvana pilots that the Next is an adequate substitute. Or may be it was just me who wanted to believe that – of course. ;-)

Today I think the Next is a fabulous ballet kite if you consider flying modern (stack) ballets. My flying is supposed to be about tricks and I had problems doing predefined tricks at every wind conditions at tricksparty, though.
Read the test review at Air One. It is a fair test of the Next.

BTW the VSP works great but makes some tricks more difficult.
