Having got a few X-Masques now, just wondering what the Masque is like for tricking, i know it was meant to be a team kite/precision, anyone have any comments please, thanks in advance guys
Egan Davis flies one here in Vancouver BC and seems to be able to trick the bejesus out of it. His Tricks Party routine from St Augustine, Florida in January is up on the kitelife.com videos section
Amsterdam Trick Clinic, there you can see what the Masque is capable.
I have had both of them. Still own the Masque, but gave up the X as never really clicked with it. It always felt like there was something wrong with the kite.
Masque is slow and graceful in tricks when the X is fast and furious. Totally different kind of style IMO.
The Egan Davis video recommendation is seconded. If the music wasn't prematurely cut off, it would likely have been the best routine yet caught on video. If you like tricks with a bit of choreography rather than "freestyle", this is really state of the art. He is spot on the tune (Jimi Hendrix ), and even in the roaring wind (check out John B's video from the same competition) tricks the hell out of that Masque.

Didn't Egan Davis fly an X-Masque in that competition?
The Masque is a first class allround kite out of the bag. It does pull in a heavy wind, but then so do most big kites.
