Interesting findings Sven :)

I'd have thought the NSR would have scored much higher.. though setup for it is critical.

@Dave:
It must be notified that the wind was on the weak side (and decreasing) the day we tested all those kites, and AFAICR the NSR (and also the Blackbird) suffered somewhat from that.

We planned a re-run of the test for a few of the kites that were tested in their very low wind range, but unfortunately we ran out of time on day two.

ah.. ok.. that'll be why the T2 did well.. Peter Taylor makes excellent light wind kites.

In answer to Andy's original question though, I'd seek out an Overdrive video to see the BB being put through it's paces.

IIRC Aeolian put together a video from the EC2001 with great shots of the Team Overdrive in action. Why not drop 'em a line and ask if they have an extra copy of that video?

Thisreview was part of a team kite test done by Jeremy Boyce, part of Airkraft who frankly ought to know about this sort of thing.

The Overdrive BBs are.... odd. Few people can breath the atmosphere on Planet Yazu. :nervous:

The BB #1 is an oldie but a goldie. If however you are dedicated to the trickier end of the flying envelope and your lines are seldom less than slack.... you might find it a disconcerting experience. I wonder:-
a) how many of the new BBs have been sold
b) how many get regular flying time

a) At least one that I know of.
b) Hardly any of my kites get flown at the moment.
