Is the Comp a bit heavier than the UL and a bit lighter than the standard then, Craig. ;)

(Starting to regret my advice to wait for Craig now. )

UL - 273g.
Comp. - 294g.

UL bridle:-
inhaul - 56cm
Lower outhaul - 45.5cm
Upper outhaul - 45.5cm

Bear in mind that each leg attaches to a series of adjustment knots. Personally I've got the lower outhaul at 4cm, the inhaul at zero and I use the upper outhaul for any wind adjustments starting at 2.5cm and going to 8cm.

Why, ultimately it's not about weight, a kid's 4' beach stunter would weigh less than a decent 8' kite, that doesn't mean that it'll fly in lower wind or higher wind.

Weight figures can be very misleading it's about the design and how the framing compliments that design plus the magic ingredient of the flyers skill, how good are you, the kite doesn't fly itself?

Ever been on a field with a really good pilot, he's flying a standard and you're having trouble keeping a UL in the air?

Generally that's why kites use wind speed as a guide........

SUL 0-4
UL 2-8
Std 4-12
Vtd 8-how brave are you?

i had never been on field with experienced flyer, i`m building my kites myself and learning how to fly them to, it is grate fun for me to build kites and fly them after,
i keep watching different kites and comparing specs to find what will be next,
of course i using plans like for Le Quartz but as you know last touch belongs always to you, ;-).

After cutting trailing edge bit deeper in my le quartz it flies much better now.

that`s the reason why i`m looking for these kind of details.

thanks anyway

Not building a SIN are you now?

@Mike: thanks! I reckon you've measured from rod to knot including the pigtails?

no, but i like SIN videos and panel layout, also FURY 85 i may buy one of them if i could get a bargain of one of you lads.

after getting through all posts on this forum there is plenty of kites you don`t use anymore.

ps.
im going to build something totally different, no worries i let you know when is done:-).

Nope, that's the three legs of the bridle to where they attach to those pigtails from their meeting point (ie; the line attachment point). The inhaul would be plus zero, the lower outhaul plus 4 cm and the upper outhaul plus 2.5-to-8 cm to the frame for me.
