Any advice in a stack?

Sat Jan 31, 2004 10:02 pm

I appreciate that the way of the site is with the trick monsters, but I ask the kindness and forbearance to pass me some advice. I have a stack of kites torn apart by a high wind, I have tried to rebuild them but the final kite tumbles from the air and pulls the others down. Is there a recommended distance to set kites apart in a stack??? I have equalised the seperation, is this recommended or I have wondered whether the last kite should be set further back to accomodate the reduced wind window.
They are mosters when flying but I have litlle success in re-making them.

The distance between kites in a stack is I believe supposed to be the same as the length of the leading edge.

I am stacking 3 diamonds with 30 ft tails, old style kites but good fun. They are dual line and the lines run through all the kites, there is also an anchor line at the base to hold the ends together.
