If you are thinking of getting into making fighter kites, it would be a good idea to check out Bruce Lamberts on youtube (br8080), he is THE man.

Hi
I have built 2 fighters a Bruzilian and a Tahara. The Tahara is much bigger and slower, as you can slow it down with mastbend. the bruzilain is quick and I would have to say I can not fly it yet. I am in control only occasionally. Fun and way different than a 2 liner. The tahara can be found on the Kitemaker sight and is by Ceewan. The Bruzilian is there also. You can disassemble the tahara without much fuss so it stows neatly.

Hi
I bought an Indian fighting kite off of Stafford Wallace. He can be seen at most kite festivals always in a red shirt and white slacks. A really nice guy who gave me lots of instructions and advice. Also a free lesson.
The kite costs about £4 and 200m of cotton line about £3
He lives in Stamford his telephone number is 01780 460725

Below is a link to him on Utube giving a demonstration

I am not sure where you live but if you are around leicester anytime I could give you a lesson to show the basics. Very easy when you know what to do.

I would like to make my own but cannot source the bamboo for the frame
