Hi,

I got my DS and this evening was the first night I got to fly it but I was really struggling to get it into a fade. I think it was too windy as I just could even get it to flair onto it's belly let along into a fade. So whats the best wind speed to learn tricks with my DS ?

Low, anything is easier in low winds, particularly learning new stuff.

as someone who is still learning (and has a lot to learn) - I prefer low smooth winds - just enough to keep the kite in the air without too much legwork, but not enough to make things happen fast.

When you get a chance to practice in lighter winds. You will find that the DS will over rotate going into a Fade. The amount of pull needed to go from a Flare to a Fade is much less that the Hypnotist.

You will find that just about all tricks will need less energy form you.

7 mph on a big beach somewhere. I was up at Holkham over the weekend and it was fantastic.

As the others have said, it's small inputs on a DS.

Thanks all, not sure what the wind speed was the other evening but definatley more the 6-8mph as it was pulling quite hard sometimes.
