Tip wraps - could I be giving be too much slack?

Tue Aug 04, 2009 9:48 pm

I keep getting the lines caught on wing tips: I feel sure I'm giving loads o'slack.... could it be too much?

Any pointers?

Using leaders made of 170# to 240# braided dacron will help the lines fall out from under the kite faster. Using a heavier weight flying line may help as well.

As Denny said leaders will help, I normally find tip wraps are the result of not enough slack or taking the slack up a bit to early.
