Mp3 trick tutorials

Sat Jul 19, 2008 11:53 pm

Right I thought of an idea the other evening while trying to learn tricks with my delta,a cesium.

I was wondering has anyone either recorded or ripped the audio from a tutorial dvd in mp3 format so as to play them on location in the field via your phone or mp3 player.
That way you can put themin a play list or repeat a lets say the axel tutorial on repeat till you nail it then move on to the next one.

If it has not been done allready does anyone want to try???

There are plenty mp4 files there, and Randy makes some great tutorials.

I've had a selection of Randy's tutorials on my media player for a while, but the screen is hard to see in bright sunlight. Some of the videos have the kites some way away as well, which means that I have to wear reading glasses to see them properly on a 2 inch screen!

It's all my cameraman's fault. Hard to find good help these days.

Nice one for the replies, link worked but video'swill not play,my pc does not like quick time.
I was thinking along the lines of a detailed audio description of tricks in mp3,no need for video as the kite would be in the air in front of me.

A suitable one for me would consist of

No! Not like that!
No! Not like that!
No! Not like that!
No! Not like that!

etc...

Must admit, that's a great idea mate.
Could just have it looping in't background while you're attempting that half-triple-salco-beartrap manoeuvre for the umpteenth time :)

I've often though about that too, just never got around to verbally translating Randy's videos.
I'd probably get sick of my own voice too. Maybe we could do a Stephen Hawkin'esque computer voice over ?? :D

Along similar lines I once asked why competitors in Precision (or indeed any non to-the-music events) didn't record a talk-through of their routine, much like an Indi. version of a Team/Pairs leader's calls, and play this back to themselves via headphones so as not to cock up their carefully crafted routines.

I received short shrift. [-(
