Insane Left Right

Thu Nov 29, 2007 9:49 am

I can now fly insane's both left handed and right handed on the Talon :-) , but once the kite starts to rotate in one direction I can not get it to change direction from left to right ( Cascade ) :( . Is it possible to do this on a Talon and if so what are the inputs.

Thanks

David

Yeah, but it's the hard part of the trick.

After one rotation you have to stop the kite and immediately throw in the next input for the opposite rotation. You have to be quick about it.

I'm not brilliant at it yet, it's hard to crack that changeover bit.

Thanks mark I have been trying a slow change over so not to upset the angle of attack of the kite so maybe that has been my undoing. Now it's off to Pontefract race course to give it a go. I will let you know how I got on.

Had a go for three hours at which point I was frozen to the bone and had no success. :( As the kite either came out of the tip rap completely or rapped near the middle of the kite so I could not release it.

If you start with a clockwise rotation at what point on the clock do you change to counterclockwise.

Thanks

Check my website Talon video @3:04 and you'll see the kite doing a Rolling Cascade.

It took me ages to crack the changeover, but it's a good trick to keep you busy on windy days.

Also, lower aspect kites like the Fury and DS tend to jump into this Insane position much faster like they just snap in, especially the Fury.

Thanks mark I was making the kite spin too aggressively so it was near vertical and not leaning onto its back like in your video. I will give it another go tomorrow.

Thanks
