What is your line length preferance folks, how short (or long) should I go? I've just got back into freestyle flying and am using v.short (15 m) lines. I know much of it comes down to personal preferance but I'd like to know what seems popular at the moment.

I like 80' to 100'. May I recommend Shanti Spectra?

I used to be a hardcore 20m kinda guy... but lately I've put a lot of time on a set of 38m I made on a whim.
So far I much prefer the 38m in all conditions, and may just toss on another 2-5m for good measure. I tried my 20's again and I felt very limited. It's still much better for learning imo, but I have more fun on the longer lines now.
You could also try the search engine, this has been brought up a few times before.

Depends how much space I've got to fly in!
Thats not entirely sarcastic, I prefer to fly on 40m, but if crowded will fly on 75' (I know, I come from that age group). If the space is physically small I choose to do something else, cos the wind will be dreadful.

depends on what kite you take out as wel.
the outer space is great on those zerowind evenings on 7m
the prophecy (only big kite in my bag) is great on 45m
for tricks mostly between 15 and 22m (sorry, Belgian so metric only
)
