I checked with Safari, Explorer, Firefox and I-Cab. Got through everytime. So obviously no browser-issue. Provider? You might get a friend to download it for you?

Thanks for testing so many alternatives.
If I continue to have problems I'll see my relative who has an AOL account.
The provider I'm using is Tiscali and I have problems connecting to Bilboquet,which is also in France :-k

Now today the overview page loaded fine and the movie "Bargouse par Andre" loaded fine and it does look like the move I was attempting that damaged my Gem.
It is where the kite is in the death position but the lines are over the back of the kite,the bridal being pulled down towards the trailing edge.
I chanced upon a takeoff from this position on the beach and it was fascinating to watch the kite rise in a nose-low attitude before unwrapping it.
Unfortunately,as I discovered, repeated failed attempts at this result in the bridle lines wearing grooves in the lower spreaders.
Grooves=weakness=breakage=structil purchase from FA shop.

Dead launches seem to be a bit of a paradox, stiff framed trick kite = nearly impossible dead launch candidate but likely to survive the attempt. Springy lite framed low wind kite = good dead launch prospect if it doesn't bust something. :?

Best kite I have for this is an old Prism Fanatic when used on smooth firm grass. The fact that the wings are swept and quite well sprung helps out quite a bit too.

Here is another variety: Look for "Bagouse"

In fact, It's not a deadlaunch at all, since the lines are running over the kite. Difficult enough.

>>> The tricks call Bagouse is the rolled-up Flap-Jack after the lauch!

You can see it better on the first uncut video. (first try did not work) 8-)

...Then just after the Bagouse there is a Deadupyoyo (yofade variation) that bring the kite in the Deadlauch position but wrapped-up! (at 00:11)

Then the Dead-Yof thats the (wrapped) Deadlauch, it is easier to do that a normal Deadlauch! try it! :cool:

Here a much better video of the Dead-Yof :

Looks better, too.
