Hi,
Yes, sorry, I should have explained, I can do the crazy copter on other kites it's just the ds I am struggling with. I'm wondering if there are special inputs - e.g. how far back towards the turtle position before the snap to bring it forward.
Any help much appreciated

Yeah, Piero's definitely good at CCs. He was doing loads today at Purley Way on his DS - and some on my Gem, which I got out for the first time in ages. Great afternoon.
The std DS will copter nicely. Don't push the kite back into a turtle, fly the kite up under power, give the kite a very fast short/small push and immediately pop both lines aggressively and snappily, the nose should rotate forward.
To begin with let the nose rotate almost all the way to horizontal away from you before pulling for the rotation, if your pull to start rotation pulls it back out like a flic-flac you've done it too early, let the kite go almost flat.
The key is short aggressive snappy pops to rotate the kite forward rather than big pops and a smooth pull to start the flat rotation
My DS is all standard and no extra weight, if you can CC other kites it's just down to timeing and slack, it all happens pretty fast with the DS the nose hardly has to drop towards the turtle at all as long as you've got slack in the lines before the first pop then give plenty of slack to allow the kite to rotate.
