R Sky NSE v N3E

Mon Apr 19, 2021 6:11 pm

Has anyone flown both of these and could you kindly let me know how they differ.

My NSE's work really well and always wondered what the latest incarnation was like? Thanks

I'll let you know soon. I have a n3e that flies great. The build quality is poor though. I have a nse ordered that should be here in about a week also. Both standards

Mike .... Thanks, I would be interested in your thoughts. I heard the N3E was better built than its predecessors. Does the N3E have a leech line. Is it silent when flying? Thanks

I'm pretty sure it has a leech line. Atleast I thought I hooked one up initially. It does make a little noise once above 10mph though but it's a great sound. Not loud and annoying like some kites.

I'll compare the two when I get the nse delivered.
It's currently been sitting in Germany for about 4 days not moving apparently.
I'm in Seattle, wa so probably still atleqst another week.
I will say I also fly a Lam Hoac dream machine sul and flying wings soul std and both sit slightly deeper in the turtle than the n3e. But the turtle on the dream machine and n3e are perfect for both kites. Wouldn't change a thing about them.

Had a short look:
My N3E Std and HW mini have none. But both are not really noisy - only a bit in higher winds, but by far less than comparable kites.
My LW and WW both have a non-adjustable leech line. They are silent.

N3 is better imo. Just feels better on the lines but will say the skydevil from Lam Hoac is alot better than the N3. The only thing I'd say the nirvana does better is taz. Not to say that the skydevil won't because it certainly will with ease. But the n3 just seems to do them easier.
Skydevil locks into a fade better than any kite I've ever flown, yoyos very easy, flys wrapped up nice, backspin are fantastic and the tracking is significantly better than the nirvanas I have. Itll hold a fade for minutes if you want it to
The final nail in the coffin would be the build quality on the skydevil is far superior to the nirvanas. It's night and day.
I used to only fly my nirvanas but the skydevils are all I care to fly now.
