Stranger help

Wed Feb 29, 2012 9:22 pm

Got some time to get out with my kites again and I want to get going with learning slack line flying. My Gemini is spot on, but I would also like to get out with the Stranger. I would like to check out a query with you guys first. Should the trick line put the leading edges under any sort of tension ie. make them bend slightly, or should the line just be tight and not bend the leading edges at all?

I have a brand new one that I set up. If you pm your email I can send it to you to look at.
I'll have a go at putting it here:

Sorry if it doesn't work. I only have the net on my phone atm.

It should bend the LE's in slightly. With the slot in the knock aligned with the spreaders, the knot in the trick line sits toward the centre of the kite then the line runs to the outside and then back to the spine.
Lots of people used to take them off to try to do lazy susans but it spoils the feel of the kite if the LE isn't bent.

Ooh harsh :P Yeah its ancient but if he has one he might as well give it an airing.

Probably means not to bother with the 'Trick Line'.

So do I keep my stranger or sell it to someone with some happy memories with this kite?

Someone could buy it for Craig for Christmas... lol
