Dave Gomberg's "Sport Kite Magic" book available online

Fri May 13, 2011 11:43 am

Dave Gomberg has just made his 1996 book "Sport Kite Magic" available online for free here:

Sport Kite Magic!

If you are a new flier, we can make you a good one. If you are already good, we can make you better.

Published in 1996, Sport Kite Magic! was a more detailed manual than the classic Stunt Kites!. It included instruction on flying all of the compulsory precision maneuver including hand positioning and performance enhancing tips. It outlined three complete sport kite ballet routines and information on how to develop your own.

SKM offered early tutorials on trick flying. And it concluded with the first published outline of indoor or no-wind flying.

We now offer Sport Kite Magic! as a free download on a limited test basis. The contests are dusty, but definitely not out-of-date. Let us know what you think.

Definitely worth a look IMO.

David was concerned that this book was out of date but it does have something other books and trick tutorials don't; it doesn't just list various figures, it gives tips on how to fly them well.

I found it very useful when I did the MKF's winter leagues years ago. Even though its the old figures, if you want to learn some precision its definitely worth a read

Thanks David =D>
